We distributed electricity connections issued by the government to hundreds of farmers from Mattewal and Majitha. All the material required to install tube well connections has reached the stores and connections are being given on first-come-first serve basis. After a long legal battle with the Green Tribunal, Mr. Badal has acquired approval to issue connections to the farmers of Punjab and nobody will be permitted to obstruct the process. We also directed the officials of the electricity department to establish a separate complaint cell in each district to address queries of farmers in this context.
